There was a faint aroma of lacquer in the box when I opened it, but not strong at all.

I smoked my first one this weekend after the cigars had sat in my humidor for three weeks, and it had no lacquer aroma or taste at all. A very nice cigar! I'll smoke another and review it after the new year, perhaps in Esteli when we visit Pepin's fields & factory.
__________________
Dale

Co-host, DogWatch Cigar Radio

"The most futile and disastrous day seems well spent when it is reviewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Havana Cigar" ..Evelen WaughAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2982900647474242642.post-68983780532118216532009-12-06T18:22:17.099-05:002009-12-06T18:22:17.099-05:00I liked the cigars, especially the Drac. The only ...I liked the cigars, especially the Drac. The only problem i encountered was the slight smell of lacquer which aired out quickly after doing as Pete instructed. With that said, i dont know anybody who travels more or meets more customers than Pete; i believe he cares about his product and customers as much as anyone in the industry, and if anyone had a problem with the money they put out for his products, he will stand behind it and make it right. The only criticism i have for Pete is that i wish he traveled less as i fear he will burn out one day... i cant imagine spending so much time on the road... but he loves his customers .... we should start a petition drive to force him to take a couple weeks off...
__________________
Jorge L.
